From the 12th to the 23th of September 2024 Nuremberg is celebrating the Old Town Festival again!
Nuremberg has been celebrating the Old Town Festival in September since 1970. For two weeks, hosts invite you to a cozy get-together. After the mayor has opened the festival with the tapping of the beer, you can enjoy typical Franconian cuisine in the quaint half-timbered houses at the "Market of Hospitality" on the island of Schütt and Hans-Sachs-Platz. Parallel to the old town festival, the autumn market takes place on the main market. At the Kramermarkt there are household goods of all kinds and Franconian specialties. Other venues for the Old Town Festival are the Katharinenkloster, Jakobsplatz and Andreij-Sacharow-Platz.
